The first steering committee meeting for the 3rd APWS
the first Joint Steering Committee Meeting for the 3rd APWS was held in Yangon, Myanmar on 24th May 2017. 25 people attended at the Joint Steering Committee from the government of Myanmar and the members of APWF, including 16 members met at the venue and 9 members remotely participated in through skype.
In the meeting, the joint steering committee members confirmed the tentative date and venue of the 3rd APWS, which followed by the signing ceremony for the Letter of Agreement among the representatives of the Union Government of Myanmar, the Yangon Region Government and the APWF, together with the representative of witnesses.
After the signing ceremony, the members discussed an overarching theme and sub-themes for the 3rd APWS, invitation letters and work plan for the 3rd APWS, as well as how to conduct fundraising activities to solicit sponsorships.
The members of joint steering committee confirmed their will to make substantial contributions and share opportunities for water security by organizing the 3rd APWS.
