Overview
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Asia Pacific Water Forum jointly organize a webinar on 11 November 2021 to present ongoing ESCAP activities related to SDG 6.
ESCAP will convey the key messages from a recent policy brief developed by UNESCAP on SDG 6 progress and issues in the context of COVID-19 pandemic and containing a set a policy recommendations.
A new e-learning course launched earlier this year will be presented, focusing on water, the ocean and the Sustainable Development Goals. The course is designed to share the latest knowledge and best practices on the preservation of oceans and water resources.
Finally, speakers will introduce the UN-Water Regional Discussion Groups supporting the mid-term review of the UN Decade of Action on Water and provide information on opportunities to engage in the process.
