The 2nd Joint Steering Committee Meeting for the 3rd APWS

On 16th August 2017, the Second Joint Steering Committee Meeting for the 3^rd APWS was held in Yangon, Myanmar.

The meeting was facilitated by Mr. Ravi Narayanan, APWF Governing Council Chair, with the attendance of 29 representatives from the Joint Steering Committee Member Organizations including 22 officials and advisors from Myanmar, 4 representatives from the APWF and its Secretariat, and in addition 7 committee members joined the meeting through the skype.

H.E. Mr. Thant Sin Maung, Union Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and H.E. Mr. Phyo Min Thein, Chief Minister of Yangon Region Government joined the meeting and delivered the Opening Remarks.

The members discussed the following 6 Agenda Items:

1. Overarching theme of the 3^rd APWS
2. Parallel Thematic sessions
3. Logistics
4. Sponsorship
5. Invitees for the summit
6. Other matters, including public communication
