Overview
The Asia Water Development Outlook (AWDO) 2020 underlined the low adoption of Integrity practices and tools among the member states within the Asia Pacific region. Poor integrity tarnishes the reputation and creditworthiness of water sector entities and is a major barrier for achieving water security and resilience, especially when climate change is disrupting the balances. With the increasing inflows of climate finance, the infrastructure intensive nature and the complexity of the water sector is particularly vulnerable to corruption and integrity risks.

For this webinar, the Water Integrity Network (WIN) along with the Green Climate Fund-Independent Integrity Unit (GCF-IIU) and the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative (CoST) will share standards, frameworks, tools, and good practices for strengthening integrity within the water sector from policy to implementation level. The webinar will recommend messages on what is required for mainstreaming integrity within the water sector, what are the integrity standards to attract climate funds.
